You don't need Mary. You can talk to Jesus and God directly! God wants us to go to Him.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. - John 14:6

For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. 19Therefore you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens of the saints and members of God’s household, 20built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone. - Ephesians 2:18-20

Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence. - Ephesians 3:12

And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. - 1 John 5:15

Did you miss the point?

You can talk to Jesus directly. Jesus listens to us.

Luke 11:27-28

As he said these things, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts at which you nursed!” But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”

Mark 3:31-35

And his mother and his brothers came, and standing outside they sent to him and called him. And a crowd was sitting around him, and they said to him, “Your mother and your brothers are outside, seeking you.” And he answered them, “Who are my mother and my brothers?” And looking about at those who sat around him, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of God, he is my brother and sister and mother.”

Nobody in the bible prays to past dead people. Not to King David. Not Moses. through out the entire bible. The disciples don't pray to dead disciples either. John the beloved might seem like a good choice. We are supposed to pray to God. God never directs us to pray to other humans dead or alive for help.

Who says you literally even can? There's nothing to show they can hear your prayers.
