what i think we're seeing is the difference between the virus and the disease.
-a high number of people catch the virus and recover(like the common cold).
-a significantly smaller number of those develop the disease associated directly with this new corona virus.
-a smaller number again die directly due to the virus giving them the disease.
-a larger number than above develop complications from the virus or the disease due to underlying conditions, including old age, and die.
