Bloodlines might seem like it's all bullshit but it's not. Its highly important to these people and that shouldn't be thrown out because you dont understand it. There is some magic that can only be accessed through certain blood and there are certain bloodlines that can perform certain very powerful magic. I know it seems like crazy bull shit but that just means you haven't gone down the rabbit hole far enough. They worship the most evil god.
