The problem is that the left is adept in framing the narrative and they have the media to back them up. The Hogg/gun narrative is a winner for them so far.
When you attack him, the media gins up the sympathy (he's just a kid. He survived a school shooting, etc). Additionally, it gives him even more exposure as he and the media have effectively fight back and smear the attackers. To be sure, this is their plan A and people who attack Hogg are playing their game. One can imagine that some anonymous attackers online are part of the conspirators.
If you say nothing about him, you can essentially take away the sympathy factor but then you are criticized for letting him say anything without rebuttal.
The only way to effectively attack him is to find concrete proof that he is s a fake, that the whole Parkland shooting and subsequent rise of Hogg was set up, and that the media knows he's a fake and was conspiring to stage the whole thing.
If Q has this information, he/they should let us know how to play this for the end game.
