Dr. Oz discusses hydroxychloroquine and coronavirus

Cardiac surgeon Dr. Mehmet Oz appeared "Hannity" Tuesday where he once again highlighted hydroxychloroquine to treat against the coronavirus saying he spoke to the lead doctor in France whose study showed benefits of the drug.

"I had the opportunity to interview Dr. Raoult. I was very impressed by him. And I told the vice president today that what he told me at the end of the interview stunned me," Oz said. "He said that he thought it was unethical to withhold this treatment based on what he knew. Again, this is not a fly by night fella, he's very well respected."

THERE'S DRUG COMBO TO SHORTEN CORONAVIRUS, FRENCH RESEARCHERS SAY

The study from doctors in Marseille, France, including lead author Didier Raoult, treated 26 patients with hydroxychloroquine, and six patients were given both that and a drug called azithromycin. The authors reported dramatic recoveries.

Malaria drug hydroxychloroquine no better than regular coronavirus care, Chinese study says

This includes bed rest, oxgen inhalation, and the use of anti-viral drugs recommended in China’s treatment guidelines like lopinavir and ritonavir, and antibiotics when necessary.

One thing that this study doesn't make clear is that both WORKED. 13 of 15 cured by the Q drug. Not as good as 100%, but good enough to get people back to work.

If someone wants to use a different drug to get people back to work and the economy back to normal. I don't particularly care. If it gets the job done now, I'm good with it. Chloroquine and HCQ are tested as safe.

Everyone who is working on a cure should continue to move forward, I think. It seems like we might be seeing shortages of the Q drugs anyway. The idea is to quickly get to the solution. And the Q drugs look like a solution. 13 of 15 cured looks like a solution.

Yup, they want endless treatments. Not cures.

They want to just watch ya, and that'll cost you $1000. They want to test you to know what you have, and then, depending on the results of the test, either do nothing, or do nothing. If they can't do anything about it, no matter what it is, they still want to do a test.

Do things to you, charge you for it, have you in a perpetual state of semi health.
