Truman, a 33rd-degree Mason, was part of the DS and supported the whole "security state" concept. He was placed as FDR's running mate to move the DS plan forward. The CIA was founded on his watch. He agreed to the idea of a "wartime economy" to suit the industrialists.
And it was his successor, Eisenhower, who warned about the Military-Industrial-Complex.
