What this article isn't really making clear is that you might have 1) coronovirus and 2) the flu. And it may be that the coronovirus is there, but it isn't making you sick and the flu is there and is the actual thing that is making you sick.
We don't know that the Q drugs will kill all the viruses. We know that the Q drugs kill many viruses.
