From my perspective, this virus looks like a culling of the herd. As soon as this went down, I immediately thought of how this would eliminated the non-productive from their society. I thought they were just tightening their belt to combat the negative effects of the trade war.

I have yet to find evidence of this, but I suspect they will move the population to the ghost cities they have built and from the rural areas. They will completely control and automate agriculture.

It seems logical, that this could also be a step in preparing for an actual war. Maybe not in the immediate future, but likely a time to ramp up. Guessing these cities are going to be Military Industrial Production areas.

Outside their borders, this virus would serve to eliminate the people, who would be experienced in life and educated on the past, enough to know better and vote conservative. It puts a damper on the Patriot movement througout the world.
