One irrefutable truth is that commercial aircraft travel from point A to B to C (airport to airport). They do not divert to make multiple passes in a grid or hatching across the sky in any flight path that is not A to B to C airport to airport. Farmers do not go out of their way to make grids or hatch patterns in the sky over a city, if they are just cloud seeding for their own farm.
There is no way to explain away the grid or hatch patterns.
