High tech companies make their products in cleanrooms. Workers are required to wear whole body coverings and face covers for their mouth and nose. This is to protect the products being manufactured from the germs and microscopic body debris flaking off the workers. Most major manufacturers with semiconductor fabs would have stock piles of PPE and face masks.
