No, I mean - BEFORE the crisis.
I'm aware of the scramble now. I'm aware that people in other countries are finding the solution, people here - like myself - were posting here the results of what was going on in orther countries, Tucker mentioned this stuff last Wednesday Trump mentioned this stuff last Thursday.
If we had a good system in the US, instead of a shit one, we would've known that hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine were solutions years ago, because pubmed has studies from 2004 saying that choloroquine works on SARS.
In the US, our system does not allow cheap meds, because our system requires expensive testing. And the FDA will get in your way if you don't have the testing.
The USA is figuring out how the FDA is hurting things by getting in the way of Trump and the Q drugs. And the individuals at the FDA might individually be going a good job. But they law that they're following is a shit law that only pushes forward the most expensive, patented solutions, not the cheap, old, generic, natural solutions.
There's a huge funding gap that needs to be filled either by Fed Gov testing or a "maybe works" designation that the FDA shouldn't shit upon, for those things that are generally recognized as safe, and show promising results on Pubmed, perhaps.
