tfw you see your own post quoted by somebody else…
wow, have been an Ortel fan for years now
If I have introduced just one other anon to Ortel, that's good enough for me
He's a white hat, a patriot, and brilliant
I've always thought that the BEST intellectuals were those who could not only analyze complex and voluminous information, but then summarize and communicate it efficiently to people in other fields, or to people who might not be able to process it on their own.
Ortel is that man.
I wish he actually WAS a major player in this movie, and he has stated that he's been interviewed by the FBI (who were apparently astonished at the amount of information he could provide them without notes), but I imagine that he's independently wealthy enough to do without tackling a major project at his age (mid 60s)
He exposed the financial scandal at General Electric, and the amount of money involved in that was much greater than the Clinton Foundation and all its connections.
He once said that early in his career, he was confronted with a gigantic project, and asked an older mentor how he would form a strategy for it.
The mentor told him that it's impossible to land a whale; that you must be patient and let the whale wear itself down.
Just thought that anecdote was interesting enough to share.
