This Gabe guy is actually very entertaining, it's a hoot and a half watching a senior citizen have anger management issues and little penis syndrome. Like I said, Doug and Tyla are demonically posessed. It explains his anger and arrogance.
He's simply too old to be naturally (re: testosterone challenged) as angry as he comes off. When the demonic start to lose control they go ape shit, or when they are done with their human they destroy them. Doug is showing characteristics of either end of the spectrum. It is a pretty well established pattern as far as I'm concerned.
