Of course it was not long before the cabal of his day tried to assassinate him.

This was the true birth and very beginning of the “Great Awakening”.
He knows his time on earth will be short and he must make the best of it.

His followers are devastated. Mary Magdalene is particularly distraught.

Jesus’ body is taken down after he dies and placed in a tomb and covered with a large stone.
The plan was to remove the stone from his tomb and anoint his body on the first day of the week. Mary Magdalene seems to be in charge, probably took it upon herself, of the anointing.
Anyway, she can’t wait and gets to the tomb very early before anyone else and sees the stone from the tomb has been rolled away.

Why? Because we had recieved a stay of judgment. We had repented in spirit and thereby earned a chance at redemption. Now, we are at a historic moment - will humanity complete the process and fully redeem itself? Can we overcome the division and chaos and evil that has ruled us for all time?
