The thing about the show is that it is supposed to show REAL issues within families. Gender identity is a REAL issue in many American families, and they can relate to this addition to the show. It's meant to make some Americans feel uneasy, because it in of itself is a Red Pill. Dan clearly has feelings as you do, but he is FORCED to have to accept the reality of it…it is his grandson after all.
She is a progressive, on the lines with Jimmy Dore. Jimmy Dore is not a Trump supporter, it's just that he sees the truth of what's going on with the Democratic Party, and that we need to be focusing on the issues and policies instead of focusing on blind hatred of Trump.
