one of the reference installations with full MS-ActiveDirectory integration was for CentOS.

Thats not much a help to replace a Desktop.

But if you like to replace Windows Servers and still use Windows Services for Clients?!?

CentOS was a nice place to start for me as a System Engineer in client/server and infra.

Windows 10 has the Linux Subsystem in it and this feature can be activated in controlpanel add features.

For Dev on a ClientSide

The Same thing you can do on a Windows Server an use this options Server Side.
