That's a guess on your part.

Certainly, the people in charge are doing a shitty job. We don't necessarily have to jump to "they want us dead". "They are doing a shitty job" should be sufficient, and easier to prove.

Well it's not Allmans.

Because the Dead and Allmans are definitely the same category, and the Dead are bigger than Allmans.

So, you can't really make the case that the Allmans are bigger than the Dead, but you can try to make the case that some other band is bigger than the Dead.

Someone posted Metallica. The case can be made for Metallica. The case can be made for other acts as well. Not saying the Dead doesn't win, but they don't necessarily win.

Dead and Co plays big venues still. Hard to ignore that. A case can be made for the Eagles when you want to measure album sales.

US FDA issues limited emergency use authorization for two drugs usually used to treat malaria

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued an emergency use authorization for chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine to treat patients hospitalized with Covid-19.

The drugs – which are used to treat malaria and other conditions – have been called game changers by President Donald Trump.

What happened? The authorization came in a letter dated Saturday, but the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) acknowledged the FDA’s action in a Sunday news release. The FDA limited the scope of its authorization to drugs supplied from the Strategic National Stockpile. The HHS announced that two pharmaceutical companies – Bayer and a division of Novartis – had donated the drugs to the stockpile. What happened? Dead were just bigger touring.

Eagles top selling albums.

Looking at the riaa list, American Bands, had Eagles way at the top, and then Aerosmith, Metallica, Van Halen.

And, we're of course leaving off solo acts.

best live resume of any American Band.

Wins influential, as you have Phish coming early mid 1990s. Deadheads. The concept of following a band around. Jam bands in general, that whole thing, required the Dead, or the Dead was there at the top, pretty much by themselves for decades until the 90s, and, when the economy is on, there are tons of dead cover bands and jam bands in general in a lot of venues in a lot of markets.

I'm also slightly curious about that whole thing. It seemed awful to me, based on the 10 seconds I spent analyzing it before the fact.

Iheartradio television events are typically much worse than they should be. They probably have a list of everybody who would play this thing, they have a choice of everyone, and they - because they just generally suck at their jobs, or they're much cooler than they let on, but they just hate the people - choose Backstreet Boys.

Almost all shit.

Is there like 10 decision makers saying "can we make this more faggoty for the faggots?"

Ok with Dave Grohl, Ok with Billie Joe Armstrong. Them, and people like them should be easily 25% if not 50%. Elton John is British, so, Brits could be involved.

Ok with Tim McGraw, country should have more representation, not that I like it much, but it's underrepresented. Up to 25% for country.

Looking who they had - there is a long list of acts that I'd consider roughtly the same category. Alicia Keys, Backstreet Boys, Ciara, Billie Eilish, Sean Mendes and Camila Cabello (I think), Lady Gaga, Lizzo, Sam Smith, Demi Lovato, H.E.R, Mariah Carey.

I count 11 in the category of Radio Top 40.

That Radio Top 40 should be less than half. All the Radio Top 40 is why you see things like "Grammy Ratings Lowest Ever".

I'd say triple Rock, triple Country, subtract 6 from the 11 Radio Top 40. So, 6 Rock, 5 Top 40, 3 Country.

So many many people don't know or care about any of those top 40 acts and there are 11 of them.

>Murdoch had to sign off on that..

I dunno. Iheartradio just does really shitty live TV concerts. But they all do, really. It's not like we can point to anyone these days who is putting great concerts on TV.

I'm not talking about coded subliminal messages or illuminati symbolism, I'm talking about the idea that they always put shit on TV.

I was just looking at pollstar, and I figure some of the show up there have already been cancelled, but what you find by looking at pollstar is that the musical style known as "ROCK" is the most popular style of music in all music venues Over half of Everything, Everywhere is Rock. You look at Fenway Park, you look at Wrigley Field, you see more rock than you see everything else put together.

Just one for example, Wrigley. Dead x2, Motley Leppard, Green Out Boy, Guns N Roses. That's 5 rock shows, Maroon 5, Lady Gaga. That 2 top 40 radio shows. Chris Stapleton. That's 1 country show. 5 rock, 3, not rock.

I see no reason why tv concerts should not reflect what people like enough to spend real time and money on.

If that's what you had at that Iheart tv concert,

Dead and Co, Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison, Joan Jett, Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Weezer, Guns and Roses, Plus Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell, And then, in the skip/ignore section, Lady Gaga, Maroon 5, Meghan Trainor, Leon Bridges.

That's just a much much better concert. The existing concert did have Lady Gaga and Green Day, but the point is that the ratio is way off. People just don't spend money on top 40 acts, and apparently they don't want to watch them on tv either.
