The James Webb telescope is going to be launched in a year from now.

It's going to have a geostationary orbit about 1.500.000 km away from earth.

Too far out to reach it with a manned spaceship to repair it like Hubble in case something goes wrong.

I see three options.

1.Everything goes well. Wala. Science galore.

  1. Everything goes well. But we don't see any pictures because what they have seen/found is instantly declared classified, and the mission is declared as failed because of "unforeseen" technical difficulties.

  2. Nasa declares the mission as failed because of unforeseen technical difficulties. Can't be repaired like Hubble because it's too far away.
