This theory is on the table IMO, and neither proven nor refuted. Anons keep an open mind and consider all evidence as well as hypotheses that could explain unexplained data.

-To the anon who ridiculed without disputing any specific points with facts, that's not how research works. One doesn't rule out facts and observations and theories prior to considering them. When the observations don't fit together neatly, that is a clue that current hypotheses inadequately explain the phenomena, and a better hypothesis is called for.
