I understood her saying "we're getting slammed" means the combination of everything: true covid and people who think they have it along with all the other ER cases that come in during a normal shift. Slammed means much, much higher amount of work (overall) for her and her colleagues. I'm also saying that I don't doubt what she said because we can hear the stress in her voice. The whole situation (covid itself as well as the panic sending scared people into the ER for testing) has now caused her to be admitted as a patient because her blood pressure was dangerously high.
