>So many people have Fibre at home which is fast enough to watch HD movies.
Fiber is expensive. The short segment between the pole and you house likely cost as much to install as between the pole and the neighborhood distribution box (divided by the number of households it's serving). And it's bothersome if you ever need to change a fiber setup. Little phased-arrays my actually be cheaper. Definitely easier.
Don't be stupid.
>5G and phased arrays and all the hardware is expensive.
But they don't have to send a technician over to spend the day tearing up your rose garden and drilling holes in your walls.

We have to wait until it runs through the whole population before making these comparisons.
