Thanks for responding but let me tell this from Experience and Honestly.

I worked for Hughes Space systems as Contractor and Trained as a Technician.

Satellites are Very Real for I did Ground links to them to Space along with AT&T and GTE Spacenet satellite systems.

I installed systems for the FAA and coordinated UPlinks with Techs in Differerent States simultaneously working together.

 

It's Very Real and Phone and TV communications have using Satellites 22,000 in a Geosynchronous orbit for over 50yrs. The Technology was allowed to Civilians in the 80's as were CD Roms in the 80's which have been in use for well over 50yrs.
