The Madison Square Boys & Girls Club is asking for similar information as Rockefeller University Hospital about potential sexual abuse victims at the hands of its volunteer Dr. Reginald Archibald
A prominent New York City doctor at Rockefeller University Hospital, already accused of abusing possibly thousands of his patients, also volunteered at area camp pools where he allegedly searched for more victims.
Dr. Reginald Archibald, formerly of Pelham, allegedly abused hundreds and possibly thousands of children during his tenure at Rockefeller University Hospital. He would allegedly sexually stimulate his victims and take nude photos of them in various states of arousal, according to numerous court filings.
New court filings and interviews with attorneys reveal that Archibald, who died in 2007, used his status as a medical doctor to volunteer at summer camps and Boys clubs in the Lower Hudson Valley and New York City for decades.
Health guidelines at the time required boys using indoor club pools to swim naked, according to recommendations issued by the American Public Health Association, based on the belief that it would prevent a build-up of bacteria.
