Whitehall area fire chief resigns after being placed on leave

MUSKEGON COUNTY, MI – The chief of the White Lake Fire Authority who was placed on leave Feb. 14 has resigned in what’s being described as “termination … without cause.”

Gregory Holman’s resignation is effective Tuesday, March 31, according to a separation agreement between him and the White Lake Fire Authority.

Holman worked for WLFA for more than 22 years, and was chief for more than eight years.

The separation agreement, dated March 17, states that Holman’s resignation came “at the request of the Authority.”
