Is it notable that Brit CMO Chris Whitty got £30m+ funding from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in 2008?

I can't see full article but it says he took the post on October (Event 201?) before paywall kicked in https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/03/13/chris-whitty-going-viral/

I found a different source which says he was hired on 14 June 2019 a week after the Deputy CMO Jenny Harries?

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-chief-medical-officer-appointed

Found a page which says he took part in a roundtable sponsored by Bill and Melinda Gates on Oct 08 2019, probably Event 201

And that he then met The WHO on Nov-10-2019 and met Gates again on Dec 19

But he did studies in Malaria, surely he knows of Hydroxycholoquine? He did a study about it in 2004 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC529364/

I'd be highly surprised if he hadn't read the 2005 SARS studies on Hydroxycholoquine to be fair,

And Deputy CMO Jenny Harries has a doctorate in Pharmacology, surely she knows of it too

But she's been on the Board of Vaccination and Immunisation since 2007 so likely in Gates pocket too
