What if ventilators was code for guns? Guns are ventilators for meat and material.

If we're in a war with a hidden enemy, we might need more guns (ventilators) when that enemy is no longer hidden. A car company could make a lot of guns in a hurry. Just spitballing…but the thought keeps occurring to me.

Notice they explicitly are keeping gun stores and counters open. Including reopening ones closed by restrictive governors.
