CNN reporter Oliver Darcy got Facebook to pull a video report by Project Veritas’ James O’Keefe on Tuesday because the report featured a National Guardsman offering his opinion that the COVID-19 Chinese coronavirus was like the flu.

“New: Facebook spox says company is removing a @JamesOKeefeIII video posted today for violating its policies on COVID-19 misinfo. “Equating COVID-19 with the common flu could cause people not to take the advice of medical professionals and thus contribute to the virus’ spread.”

'Twiggy' Forrest's $160m China deal to bring lifesaving supplies to Australia

Billionaire Andrew "Twiggy" Forrest's Minderoo Foundation has put $160 million towards a partnership with Fortescue Metals Group and the Chinese government to bring crucial life-saving medical supplies and equipment to Western Australia, and ramp up COVID-19 testing across the state.

Dr Forrest said today the first plane-load of supplies was leaving Shanghai in China today and will touch down in Perth after a 10-hour flight.

Aiming to resolve Australia's extreme shortage of PPE (personal protective equipment), two more flights are due to arrive on Friday and Saturday this week.

45 Million Slaves, Says Andrew Forrest’s Global Slavery Index

Australian billionaire and Christian philanthropist Andrew ‘Twiggy’ Forrest is making a William Wilberforce-like effort to end modern day slavery, by calling nations to account for their actions.

This week he released the 2016 version of his annual Global Slavery Index, a name-and-shame style list of the countries that are performing best and worst when it comes to human trafficking, slave labour, sex slavery and child marriage. It shows that over 45 million people are trapped in modern day slavery, with North Korea, Uzbekistan and Cambodia having the highest proportions of slavery by per head of population.

Countries working hardest to reduce it, however, including the Netherlands, USA and UK, and Australia. Surprisingly though, Australians have an estimated 4,300 people in their midst, in modern-day slavery situations.
