The White House is citing a COVID-19 model (The Chris Murray Model) that upon closer inspection shows that tomorrow April 1 we should expect to see in New York state a lower bound "ICU beds needed" of 8,270 while only 718 are available. So tomorrow New York should see a shortage of 7,552 ICU beds. Not only that, but overall New York will tomorrow have a shortage of at least 30,473 hospital beds (ICU and non ICU).
