I agree, IF they know they are infected a mask would help but what if they dont know they are sick and its just starting and they get that initial cough or sneeze and oops they didnt cover their mouth.
I had a patient I had to get close to her to hear her and she coughed, she came in the hospital not for a respiratory illness. I ended up getting a virus that three courses of antibiotics had no effect against.
