I should have clarified. 3 older half-brothers (my dad's first wife/their mom died of cancer). I am my mother's only son, and believe her when she says she was a virgin at marriage (sweet, innocent, naive Bible college girl). The only argument I've heard that carried any "similar" weight was a mindset "foreign" to me—my dad was moderately disappointed to be having a 4th son, wished I had been a girl. That said, he didn't raise me that way at all. Totally a man's man not into anything "girly"…just thought it would be nice after 3 boys to have a girl. As a result, my mother was sad for him, wished I was a girl too. I think parents plant spiritual seeds with that kind of disappointment/thought-intentions.

No 'awe' warranted. I succumbed to it for like 20 years. Finally hit an "enough is enough" stage in my late 30's. Unstable lifestyle for sure. Is what it is…wish I could go back and undo it all—think I could have forced myself to be with a woman. Is what it is.
And yes, society is too promoting of it…needs to be shamed again. Shame people out of that as a viable option. Shame where sin is concerned is GOOD.
