Watching Pence at Walmart, and there is simply no way they would expose him to possible infection from some truck driver or store associate if there was a deadly virus on the loose. Nobody is practicing any social distancing, and are all acting completely normal.

I sure hope so, since that would imply this is being blown way out of proportion and isn't the dire threat they are describing. Have to wonder if the media will use images of this to call Pence 'irresponsible'.

Makes no sense. Logically, if there is a deadly pandemic happening, people who work in food preparation and service should be wearing a mask at least. I've heard nobody even suggest protective gear for such people. Are those working in fast food even wearing gloves, or is food being handled like normal?

FREDERICK, Md (WDVM) — "The leading U.S. Department of Defense laboratory for medical-biological research has returned to full operational capacity after months of suspension. In July 2019, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention handed down a cease and desist order for top-level labs at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases, or USAMRIID, located at Fort Detrick.

On Monday, Maryland senators and congressmen announced that the CDC approved for USAMRIID to resume their full scope of infectious diseases research after operational improvements were made.

[Senator] Van Hollen explained that USAMRIID laboratories are working on detection, prevention and treatment of coronavirus.

The CDC previously suspended work conducted in bio-safety level 3 and 4 laboratories citing human and mechanical failures associated with lab wastewater. Representatives with the CDC conducted visits to USAMRIID before approving that research could resume."
