Anon thinks one of the reasons a new currency HAS to be around the corner is the number of these cartels and organizations (think Red Cross) that have stashed cash over the years. It would be easy to set a limit on the amount that can be exchanged and/or deposited with a new currency. Banks already track big deposits and withdrawals.
