Former TV Meteorologist Arrested, Accused Of Threatening To ‘Lynch,’ ‘Slit Throat’ of Health Director Over Handling of COVID-19 Outbreak

OMAHA, NE — A local meteorologist in Omaha is accused of threatening to kill the director of the Douglas County Health Department over her handling of the coronavirus outbreak.

Dr. Adi Pour says she received multiple threatening emails and phone calls stating she would be ‘lynched’ of have her ‘throat slit.’

According to KETV, ‘Investigators tracked the calls and emails to Ronald Penzkowski, 57. Upon executing a search warrant at his address Tuesday, more evidence was found to support that Penzkowski was sending the messages.’

Penzkowski also uses the alias ‘Ron Gerard’. He was communication director for Omaha Mayor Jim Suttle from 2009-2010. In the 1990s, he was chief meteorologist for KPTM.

Penzkowski is charged with making terroristic threats and stalking.
