I filed for SS when I lost my job 3 months ago. Didn't want to, wanted to wait a couple years to do it. It covers about 1/2 of my bills. Trying to find more work but being 66 and under a stay at home order makes it hard right now.

It depends on what you earn over the years. That is what it is based on. Some people earn more, so their checks are bigger. I took some years off to raise kids so those years didn't have anything taken out of my checks to add to my "account". that's why I get pissed off when they call SS "entitlements" That money was taken out of my checks, it is MY money. It is not a government charity donation. And no, I'm not whipping out these great granny tits, even though for a great granny they aren't so bad. Kek!

Prayers for them. I am in no way bitching, just stating facts I feel blessed right now. I pray everyday anon, many times a day in fact. Next one will include you and your family.
