Pacific Harbor Line President Otis Cliatt was honored to recently accept a Patriotic Employer Award on behalf of Pacific Harbor Line. The award was presented by representatives of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR).
The ESGR promotes collaboration and understanding between Reserve Component Service members and civilian employers. For more than 40 years, the Department of Defense program has helped create a culture where employers honor the commitments of National Guard and Reserve members.
“In honor of the brave service members who have served their country, PHL accepted a challenge to industries issued by former First Lady Michelle Obama and Jill Biden,” Cliatt said. “The challenge issued to the railroad industry was simply to make a commitment to hire veterans.
