hey early mornin' fren
bonez here, can't rest em yet, so dropping by.
for baking class, two things to think about.
-
heroic baking - example is #11087. Baker, who i'm pretty sure is new, was already on for many hours, i was there. But continued on into the night–must have been exhausted by then. God bless him but this can create burnout, maybe good to talk about–that it's ok to ghost, etc.
-
dough changes - wanted to talk about this sometime bc the topic can intimidate new bakers who aren't familiar with the dough. wo/going into it in detail here, i was around a lot last night and got involved in tracking down dough changes for a baker on duty who noticed something different w/dough and asked anons to look at the dough. So i did and found certain changes–wasn't sure about them so made a "revert" pastebin for baker. Looks like it's still in effect although there was a discussion coz the bakers who made the change showed up a coupla breads later (concerns a section in War Room–you can check on /comms/ in school thread in a little bit, i'll make it clearer there).
Nothing shady going on, but an Interesting situation (because there's currently no place for bakers to record dough changes or other bakers and anons to track them–although we could create one w/a spreadsheet). I do record them when baking on qrb, but that's in the bread. Breads are way too fast here on qr, info or discussions would just get buried.
Wanted to catch you up so you'll know 'sup if the topic arises on the board. Good topic for class also–along with avoiding burnout.
