This guy, what the hell was he thinking? Deep Q theories aside, I'm gonna take him at his word. Dumb Dem union guy thought the govt was planning an invasion, and wanted the world (his world, Los Angeles, which is filled with his Mexican people) to know "the truth." If his plan was to ram into USNS Mercy with that locomotive, he clearly didn't think it through logistically. Without tracks heading in that specific direction leading up to the moment there were no tracks, that locomotive (now a dumb bomb) had no chance of striking Mercy even with sufficient speed to plow through nearly a quarter mile of urban terrain. That's who works in that port. Guys just like him. Perfect teamsters and longshoreman.

Maps indicate by way of blue line, the direction the locomotive would continued traveling if it could. Interestingly enough, it would have come closer to striking the USS IOWA that USNS Mercy!
