NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Amid the coronavirus pandemic, Davidson County investigators continue to build a case against Alex Friedmann. The self-described criminal justice advocate is accused of disguising himself as a construction worker and planting numerous weapons in the downtown Nashville detention center while it was being built, further delaying the facility from opening its doors.

Davidson County Sheriff Daron Hall held a news conference Thursday to announce that more weapons were discovered in the center since Friedmann's most recent arrest in February. Local, regional and national experts were called in to come up with a plan to comb through every inch of the building. It ended up taking four days for security investigators from Nashville, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Hazards Device School and US Customs and Border Control to completely scan the downtown detention centerNASHVILLE, Tenn.
