You did sort of okay until the end.
Firstly, it was Tibet he learned Magick in.
Secondly, a huge thing that's not typically spoken of but should be is his affinity for "Magic" Mushrooms (his "disciples" too).
His teen years and early adulthood aren't spoken of entirely on purpose. This is around the time he began tripping balls on mushrooms in the desert with his friends. In so doing, he expand his mind greatly and only further refined his glaring gift for connecting with his Higher Self. Ultimately, he gained the attention of important people and was taught a few things, as you allude to.
Indeed, he never died on the "cross" (a tree… think Odin), and eventually set out East, sending Mary Magdalene West to spread the Good News - the nature of what became known as Gnosticism. Isn't it odd how this became a pejorative thrown around liberally in the Catholic paradigm and other spiritual infestations of these times?
Naturally, the Gnostic orders of old (the first Christians) were corrupted and here we are.
Joshua had a daughter in India and died there eventually in old age.
Make no mistake, however, Joshua knew Magick. He found The Fire and taught it to as many as he deemed appropriate and later began a different journey, becoming a significant inspiration in some of the Easter "Religions" which gave way to the modern Ascended Masters who hardly access this plane and do most of their work in the next realm.
Asserting Joshua didn't understand Magick is buffoonish. He knew how to use AL-chemy, he indeed walked across the water, but that's not a huge feat considering other figures of antiquity accomplished the same, much like Poseidon, Orion and Pythagoras. Just because others could do similar things, however, does not diminish his prowess.
Frankly, him being the Messiah or not isn't really up for debate. It unfortunately remains to be seen, but I guess then we venture in to semantics territory so I think I'll just leave that one alone.
Regardless, only normies can dispute The Bible being tainted at this point. There's no reason to completely write it off though.
Those with ears to hear, let him hear.
Those with eyes to see, let him see.
An interesting take, though.
