Silver Lining: Chi-Com Virus Proves Many Government Regulations are Worthless, Counterproductive

Governors issue stay-at-home orders then the people not working an "essential" job must file for unemployment. Then the states seek bail-out from the federal government to cover the costs. Meanwhile state non-essential employees are given a period of paid administrative leave.

State health departments failed to provide oversight and review epidemic response plans. They failed to direct healthcare facilities under their jurisdiction to prepare and train for an epidemic emergency. They then blame the CDC and the President.

State health departments, hospitals and emergency agencies failed to prepare by ordering additional protective gear and supplies. Then everybody orders at the last minute wants their order filled, prices rise. Then they blame manufacturers for not producing more sooner and the President.

The Department of Defense provides supply stock, hospital ships, and field hospitals. States then complain if they do don't get all the supplies they want. Due to state and local management, there is delay in transferring appropriate patients to the military facilities and relieving the local hospitals of some caseloads.

Cities like Costa Mesa sued to prevent transfer of patients for covid monitoring to an underused facility in February.

Nevada and Michigan governors ban the use of the use of the malaria drugs because the President stated it showed promising results. CDC explained the drug’s use would be monitored, similar to the testing done to officially approve drugs.

Many state government disapprove of school voucher or homeschooling but now are requiring students to participate in on-line coursework from home. Most parents are not compensated for monitoring the education time.

Governors have decided if your job/business is deemed essential or non-essential. If it pays your bills and living expenses, the job is essential. Your job may be considered non-essential but when due, your income tax, sales taxes, property taxes, and school taxes will be considered essential to the state.
