Understand that feeling but think of it this way, both of you did the right thing, NO ONE can take that away from you! You have no problem looking at the man in the mirror, think they can say the same ;-)

You can't control what others do, you can only control yourself. Do what you know in your heart is the right thing to do and don't worry what others think, say or do, any wrongs they do is on them, not you.
