AI needs data to function. (think the human brain.. we store "data" in our brain (memories))
Humans interacting with machines feed "data" into a system that stores the data. AI now has "memories" or "data" to process and base decisions on.
AI is simply a machine to process data as humans do on a massive scale much more efficiently than the whole of humanity can process collectively. Ergo, AI is the replacement to human knowledge discovery & retention.
The cure to AI?… quit feeding it data and destroy it's memories. It's always made me wonder is that is the reason for the destruction of the library of Alexandria way back when. Knowledge is power. (bye bye interwebs?)
