I live within a minute (no exaggeration) walking distance to a major Los Angeles emergency/urgent care corridor along a major street. It is a ghost town. Very few emergency vehicle visits compared with the norm (streets and freeways chocked with traffic and slamming into one another like arcade pin balls). Any medical staff I see (some park their cars on my street) look at me sheepishly, as if to say, "We know, we know." I don't even bother to ask them anything. I know what the answer is going to be.
