Anyone who has ever pulled the throttle on a locomotive engine is fully aware that once they hit dirt, they dig in a come to a stop. It takes a hella lot of fast freight behind them to even move a single car length. If there IS that much momentum behind them, everything piles up vertically.
I'm a former RR conductor AND have (off the record) pulled the throttle. I've SEEN pile ups. It all happens RIGHT THERE. And he wasn't even facing the hospital ship.
Yesterday I was going to joke that he should have used a torpedo (rr signaling device used to adjust the distance between trains when the electric signals are down and esp. if one train is unable to make posted track speed. (you use a 5 minute fusee / highway flare if the train is moving too fast to catch the caboose on foot)).
But this has stopped being funny.
IF this was deliberate, he's asking for attention to "something".
