That guy is dancing all around the questions. Here is the issue that I think I see being exposed here. That guy is trying to justify a production facility in a foreign country that imposes restrictions as far as where the output goes. 3M benefits from the cheap labor etc. So, instead of producing EVERYTHING in OUR country and giving OUR people jobs, they want to fatten their margins by producing in another country with cheap labor and probably lax labor laws as well.

 

Make ALL products HERE, and then export as WE see fit, and not at the beck and call of some foreign power who may or may not be friendly.

You know darn well that the Chinese government is getting SOMETHING from 3M for letting them manufacture in their country. The question is, what?
