I run a small business based out of Connecticut.

My bank (BOA) just told me, despite having banking with them for the past 20 years, having credit with them in the past (i.e. paid off loan), I don't qualify for the Paycheck Protection loan because I don't have a current credit account with them as of Feb 15th, i.e. because I don't owe them any money. They said this was an SBA requirement.

They actually turned me away.

So much for a loan without collateral.

This is so screwed up."

So I was able to find a small local bank willing to accept my business and process my PPP loan. I feel my business has a better chance of surviving the pandemic than BOA.
