Dude, we've been here to be educated and trained. Trained to dig, and educated by that digging and absorption of the digs of others to acquire a body of knowledge we can refer to without necessarily having to dig again, or so that we need only do a quick archive hit to refresh our memories.

 

That has happened, and this is where we are.

Most of us probably don't even realize how much we've changed as a result of this place.

I basically enjoy researching stuff now, and to have shifted a thinking habit like that at midlife is pretty wild.

Nobody is forced to buy it.

We have been trained to review information and form our own opinions on it.

I do not automatically discount any information, because often (as in this case) that would be the proverbial shooting of the messenger.

Focus on the content and root source, not the middleman.
