antibodies bind an epitope (small area) of other proteins presented in the MHC cleft to the B cell carrying a recognizing antibody. Those B cells are selected, and “immortalized” by hybridization with another cell (like a cho cell). The antibody protein is harvested from the effluent of these cultured cells, then purified and tested to see if it has any utility in clinical care. Viruses may sometimes be involved in formation of cell lines for hybridization, but any genetic information is purified away. No viruses there in the medicine.

Mab meds for treatment of things like rheumatoid arthritis and Crohn’s disease are immune modulators (potent immune suppressors). When tell immunity is weakened the patient is no longer able to fight off fungal infections as well.

As far as psoriasis increased while on a Mab, I don’t know facts or mechanism for that. In fact Mab medications are used in treatment of severe psoriasis recalcitrant to standard of care first and second line pills (also immune suppression SE) medications.
