I like to think that the energy that makes us "go" and forms our consciousness
(em waves) is released back into the ether. Sometimes it's not fully "dissolved" so that explains ghosts or sightings and sounds from them being associated with electromagnetic activity. Sometimes people wake up from comas and believe they are someone else, what if their brain picked up on leftover EM waves from a dead person? Also jives with laws of conservation of energy.
