I trust that POTUS has more information, has good judgement, and has the country's best interests at the top of his priorities.

Weird interpretation. The man took a "whistleblower" report from someone who had no 1st-hand information whatsoever. Incompetent and partisan move.
He, like others in the executive branch, serves at the pleasure of the President. If the boss is displeased, for any reason, the boss can fire the employee. The employee is not immune from criticism or is over the boss.
One would hope citizens would pay attention and comply, considering that opposite of others before him, POTUS actually cares about our country and us citizens. It's really a no-brainer

The whole situation is weird. How can a 2nd hand account count as so much? I don't think that is really normal - hearsay is fine, but there was no confirmation and how could hearsay rise to the level for which Congress "had" to be notified? That was really the issue. He was clearly very partisan and part of [their] coup plans. IMO he deserves to be fired and replaced.
Why are you so intent on taking the decision away from the ONE MAN who has more information than you? What do you think you know that POTUS does not? Why do you think you are in a better position to decide the date than POTUS?
I didn't think about it before, but I would guess women are happy to take a break from shaving, too.
But Americans have a right to decide who we let into our country and who we do not. What benefit do many of them offer us? Sure, their lives are shit and their country may suck - there are reasons for that, which are not our problem. Americans deserve to allow immigrants who only benefit our country (while not making us 2nd class citizens, us having to train foreigners who are taking our jobs!) and not allow those in who will not. The historic, native born population, like it or not, is white European.
People would do far better to work hard to improve their own nations, not come here expecting our largesse and then spit on us, demand we change our country to their liking.
